High-intensity interval training regime produces fantastic results in a relatively short period of time. It comprises of 20 seconds of intense exercise followed by 10 seconds of rest, repeated for several minutes. It gets your metabolism going and heart rate up. The high intensity intervals significantly boost the total number of calories burned because your resting metabolism is elevated after exercise, (unlike the usual cardio workouts) for upto 24 hours afterwards.. the fat keeps burning and the benefits are endless.
